Sports Premium

This is a breakdown of how sports premium money is being spent at Kingfisher Primary School. The sports premium funding is also complimented by funding from pupil premium. It contributes to making PE at Kingfisher, a quality and enjoyable experience for all pupils.

In a recent pupil survey, pupils gave PE at Kingfisher an average score of 9.5 out of 10!

Item Project Cost Objectives Outcomes
External PE providers – Fit2Play (Stewart Cullen) and DICE (Nathan Kennedy) Funded by pupil premium but the employment of PE support staff, funded by sports premium, facilitates this. Develop staff skills and confidence with regard to PE and sports activities.

 

To provide high quality PE lessons and after school clubs for all pupils.

 

To provide teachers with extra curriculum time to deliver further lessons to vulnerable pupil groups.

Improved staff skills in delivery and planning of PE curriculum and extra sports activities.
External Provision – Club Doncaster Funded by pupil premium but the employment of PE support staff, funded by sports premium, facilitates this. Development of extra-curricular football and rugby activities for all pupil groups, including gifted and talented pupils.

 

Encourage increased participation from all pupil groups.

External Provision – Flex Dance Funded by pupil premium but the employment of PE support staff, funded by sports premium, facilitates this. Development of extra-curricular dance activities.

 

Encourage increased participation from all pupil groups.

Improved engagement of pupils from all groups participating in dance activities.

 

Improved relationships with families and the school community through the production and staging of termly / half termly of dance shows.

PE lesson support staff £7000 Development of improved PE lessons, support for all pupils within PE lessons, improved working relationships between outside providers and teaching staff. Improved quality of PE delivery.
